The purpose of the field practicum is to provide the student with the opportunity and experience of applying theory and principles learned in the classroom to work situations. It also affords the opportunity for the student to become acquainted with the activities of private companies, public agencies, and community groups (organizations) commonly engaged in occupational, public health or environmental health practice.

Before you begin...

• Pick a concentration!
• Complete @ least 20 credit hours, including 4 core courses
• Begin planning your experience early. If you want to utilize a federal opportunity for a practicum experience, these applications are often due by late December-early January.
• Register for the practicum thru Ms. Laverne Carter! You cannot register yourself for this course!
