Professional Summary
 
Terry Bunn, Assistant Professor, earned a B.S. in Animal Science and a Ph.D. majoring in Immunology with a minor in Toxicology from Cornell University. Dr. Bunn supervises graduate students in Public Health and is located in the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center. Her current research focuses on the prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses through surveillance and the development of interventions, in partnership with the Kentucky department for Public Health (KDPH). Special areas of interest are the prevention of deaths due to occupational motor vehicle collisions and agricultural deaths due to farm machinery. Her research is published in injury prevention and toxicology journals. Support for her research has been provided by NIOSH, NIEHS, and the American Chemistry Council. She is a member of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists, the American Public Health Association, the National Safety Council, and the Kentucky safety and Health Network.

Research Interest & Projects
 
Terry Bunn is specifically interested in risk factors contributing to occupationally-related motor vehicle crash, road and highway construction, machinery and youth fatalities occurring in the state of Kentucky with an emphasis on development of strategies for prevention.
