Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky. I am pleased that you are either interested in learning more about our degree programs, research, and service as you consider potential graduate/ professional training options or as a member of the college's family you plan to utilize our college website as a resource during your time at UK.

     When I made the decision to join the College in 2004, one of the reasons was the strength of the faculty, staff, and students. It was evident to me then, and is still so today, that the potential for excellence is present. As a fully-accredited school of public health and an active participant in the Association of Schools of Public Health, UK provides students, staff and faculty with a solid breadth of academic, research and service opportunities. We are constantly striving to be "all that we can be," as we help the University of Kentucky address health issues in the Commonwealth, the United States and internationally; preparing the next generation of the public health workforce.
